Dibor Discipleship School is a ministry of New Life Christian Church in Watertown, NY.

Dibor is a discipleship training school composed of a 6-month (combined) Lecture Phase and a 2-month Leadership Training Phase. Students are trained in what it means to have a true Kingdom identity, a divine perspective of the world around them, and are challenged to influence culture the same way Jesus did.
LECTURE PHASE:
Sept. – Nov. / March – May
Monday – Friday / 9am to 12noon*
Every week during the Lecture Phase, you receive world-class instruction and impartation from one staff or guest teacher on a particular theme, including:
• Salvation and the baptism of the Holy Spirit
• Resisting temptation and a life of integrity
• The Kingdom and our purpose
• The gifts of the Spirit and their use
• Understanding the Father’s heart for the lost
• The Church – Who she is and why she’s important
• Marriage and family
• Grace and Law / Mercy and Truth – How they meet
• Music, the arts, and culture
• Prayer and solitude
• Men and Women of the Bible – Success and failures
• A Hebrew understanding of the Church, Israel, and the end times
• What it means to be a warrior for God
• Royalty and your true Kingdom identity
• Servanthood as a life assignment – Washing others’ feet
• Intimacy with God as your life source
• Global perspective of world missions and ministry
• Taking back the 7 Mountains of Cultural Influence
*Students are free after 2pm during the lecture phase to pursue additional education at our local community college, through an online college, or obtain a part-time job to earn money. We strongly encourage all students to use this time constructively.
LEADERSHIP TRAINING PHASE:
January – February
Sunday – Saturday / all-day
During the Outreach Phase, you will lead numerous missions projects around northern NY, including participation in a weekly street ministry, housing development service projects, block parties, the county fair, soup kitchen, crisis pregnancy center, city teen center, weekly Cluster (small group), and church service projects.
CHURCH LIFE:
Throughout your time at Dibor, you will also be connected with New Life Christian Church as an integral part of 33 Live (teen & college ministry), and enrolled in Lifetraining – 33 Live’s discipleship and teaching track (includes Seeds, Wildfire, Roots, and Cluster Leader Training).
PHYSICAL TRAINING (PT):
Because the Bible instructs us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, we have a corresponding belief that we must maintain our physical health through exercise. All Dibor students are required to participate in one hour of PT three mornings a week, tailored to each individual’s ability.
AFTER DIBOR?:
Graduates have gone on to serve all over the world, either returning to their home countries (Burma, Costa Rica, Germany, The Philippines), some serving in China for a year with Campus Target (one of our linked ministries), or staying right here at New Life as a staff member. It’s our heart to help advise and launch you into where God is calling you.
